From Nashville (and points north): Take I- 65 S, to Huntsville via I-565 East to the Sparkman Drive exit (Exit 15) and turn left onto Sparkman Drive. Turn right onto Holmes Avenue, staying in the right lane. Turn right onto campus on John Wright Drive. The Fitness Center will be on your left.

PARKING:

Parking information is unavailable at this time due to the upcoming implementation of zoned parking. Once finalized, communication will be sent to recruiters visiting the Huntsville location with details and instructions.

 

SHIPPING:

Please ensure that any items shipped in advance of the event arrive no later than the afternoon of Friday, September 29, 2017. Your items will be at your booth space the morning of the event. Please be sure that your company name is listed on the outside of the packaging. Make sure the representative(s) attending the event have the tracking number(s) of the packages that were shipped. The University of Alabama in Huntsville is not responsible for the loss or damage of your shipped materials, therefore we recommend you insure all materials shipped.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS

 

From Birmingham: Take I-20 West/I-59 South for approximately 110 miles.  Take the Livingston Exit, EXIT 17 to Hwy 28.  Turn left and travel approximately 2 miles to a traffic light.  Turn Right (Hwy 11).  Travel to the 3rd traffic light (by the Shell station) and turn right.  You will take the 2nd street to the right (into campus) and the UWA Student Recreation Center will be on your left. 

 

From Mobile: Travel on I-65 North to the Creola – Hwy 43 Exit – Travel North on Hwy 43 (85 miles to Grove Hill, 15 miles to Thomasville, and 30 miles to Linden) to Hwy 28 (Left Turn). Travel approximately 15 miles to Hwy 80 and travel west (turn left) going over the river and approximately 4 miles until you again reach Hwy 28 toward Livingston (a right turn).  Travel for approximately 13 miles to Livingston and cross through 2 traffic lights.  Following the second light, take the 2nd street to the right (into campus) and the UWA Student Recreation Center will be on your left.

 

From Montgomery:  Take US-80 West toward Demopolis. You will pass through Selma, Union Town, and Demopolis.   It’s approximately 100 miles.

In Demopolis, continue to travel Hwy 80 for approximately 17 miles until you reach Hwy 28 toward Livingston (a right turn).  Travel for approximately 13 miles to Livingston and cross through 2 traffic lights.  Following the second light, take the 2nd street to the right (into campus) and the UWA Student Recreation Center will be on your left.

 

From Atlanta: I-20 West to Birmingham. Continue on I-20 West/I-59 South toward Tuscaloosa/Livingston for approximately 110 miles. From West: Take Interstate 20 West / Interstate 59 South. Take Arkadelphia Road Exit (Exit 123). Turn left onto Arkadelphia Road. Drive over the Interstate overpass. Birmingham-Southern will be on the right as you top the hill.

SITE INFORMATION

 

PARKING:

Please display your parking pass on the driver’s side of your car windshield before arriving. Please stop at the front gate to let the policeman know you are a guest of the Career Services Office.

 

The policeman at the front gate will direct you to a reserved parking space, which will be to the left as you drive into the campus. Your parking space is in the Bill Battle Coliseum parking lot behind the Library. Once you have parked your car, proceed to the right side of the Library and use the walkway across the Quad, pass the fountain, to the Norton Campus Center.

 

If you have a heavy load to carry, proceed to the left side of the Library and use the flat sideway across the Quad.

 

The event will take place in the Bruno Great Hall, on the third floor of Norton Campus Center.

 

EQUIPMENT:

If you do not have a a heavy load to carry, you may enter the building at the main entrance and use the stairs.

 

If you have a heavy load, you may enter at the post office entrance and use the elevator.

 

UTILITIES:

Electrical outlets are available.  Indicate electrical need when registering. We have a limited number of power cords available so you may want to bring your own.

From US Highway 280:

 

Traveling from Birmingham: travel east on US Highway 280. Turn right on Alabama Highway 147* South. This road will take you into Auburn and becomes US Highway 29* South.

 

Auburn City Directions from Highway 280 (follow these directions after following the above directions):

 

*Directions from 147 South (29) (College Street): turn West (right) on to Samford Avenue making sure you pass in front of the Rouse Life Sciences Building on the right. Go to the four (4) way stop, cross through Mell Street and continue down Samford Avenue until you get to the traffic light. At the traffic light (Telfair B. Peet Theatre is on the right), make a right onto Duncan Drive. Continue down the BIG hill on Duncan Drive then up the small hill for approximately 250 yards. The Campus Green Parking Deck is on the left.

 

**If you happen to miss the right turn at Duncan Drive, continue down to Donahue Drive, which is at the next light. Take a right at the light (Donahue and Samford intersection), followed by a right at the next light (Heisman Drive and Donahue Drive intersection) on to Heisman Drive. Once on Heisman Drive, the Campus Green Parking Deck will be approximately 150 yards up the small hill, on the right.

 

From Interstate 65 or Interstate 85:

 

Traveling from Atlanta: travel south toward Montgomery on I-85 to exit # 51. Turn right on to US Highway 29* North.

 

Traveling from Birmingham: travel south on I-65 to Montgomery. Take I-85 North toward Atlanta to exit #51. Turn left on to US Highway 29* North;

 

Traveling from Columbus: travel north on I-185. Take US Highway 80/Phenix City exit to US Highway 280. Turn right (west) on Highway 280 and proceed to I-85, at Opelika. Travel south on I-85, 10 miles to exit #51. Turn right on to US Highway 29* North.

 

Traveling from Mobile: travel north on I-65 to Montgomery. Take the I-85 North/Atlanta exit. Travel north on I-85 to exit # 51. Turn left on to US Highway 29* North.

PARKING:
 

Please park in the Campus Green Parking Deck located at the end of Duncan Drive. The Fourth (4th) level is designated Visitor Parking. Make sure you park between two (2) white lines! Arrive EARLY because parking spaces fill quickly! 

 

The Alabama Connection Parking Permit is to be printed and displayed visibly on the dashboard of your car on the driver’s side FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT ONLY! After you have parked, you may walk to the Student Center out of the northeast corner of the Campus Green Parking Deck. 

 

The Parking Department is open 7:15 AM until 4:15 PM, Monday through Friday, and can be contacted at 334-844-4143 with questions. Their office is in the South Quad Parking Deck on the corner of Duncan and Lem Morrison Drive.

 

Our best recommendation is to take advantage of the parking we have available in the Campus Green Parking Deck!

 

You must follow all parking rules and regulations set forth by the AU Parking Service. The Auburn University Career Center cannot be responsible for tickets that are received while parked on campus, nor wheel-locks and towing fees as a result of parking.

Shipping To the Student Center: 

Shipments of exhibit displays, materials or anything pertaining to the exhibit must be received no sooner than Friday, September 29. Accommodations for packages needing to arrive earlier must contact Melvin K. Smith, Special Events Coordinator, (334) 844-4744 or mks@auburn.edu for approval!  Storage space is very limited.  We will do our very best to work with you!

 

Please use our Preferred Carriers (Fedex and UPS) to ship materials!  See the example of how each box or display should be addressed for shipping to The Auburn University Student Center (AUSC). Your organization’s name is required on the outside of all materials. Print off multiple pre-made labels for your convenience (1 per box or container to be shipped).

Make sure the representative(s) attending the event have ALL tracking numbers of packages that have been shipped to AUCC prior to arriving at the event. We highly recommend you insure ALL of your materials shipped!

 

Prior to the start of the event, shipped material will be delivered to your organization’s table which was assigned by the Career Center for this event. If you are expecting to receive some materials and they are not waiting at your able, go by the Representative Check-In for assistance. Make sure you have checked with your organization to confirm items were shipped and you have the tracking numbers and who signed for them.

 

Shipping From the Student Center:  Patrons must make their own shipping arrangements, to include billing arrangements with the Preferred Carriers (Fedex and UPS). The AUCC cannot provide billing arrangements, proper packing and labeling. The form must be filled out completely with the organization’s account number!

 

After the Grad School Info Day:  ALL boxes must be appropriately labeled and taped!  Please take packages to the Representative Check-In Table in the 3rd Floor Quadrant Lobby of the AUSC where a member of the Auburn University Career Center will be available to check-in your materials for shipping out.  AUCC will make one call to each preferred carrier for pick-up!

 

Carriers used other than the Preferred Carriers (Fedex and UPS) should arrive by 12:30 PM and no later than 1:30 PM to pick-up materials outside the 3rd Floor Ballroom.  The representative(s) attending the event for the organization are responsible for making sure the connection is made.

 

Auburn University will not hold packages awaiting pick-up.  If the organization’s representative(s) do not attend the event, the organization is responsible for making arrangements to get their packages. 

 

UTILITIES:
One 6x3 foot table and one chair will be provided per organization. Your display needs to fit within the space provided.  Electricity will not be available.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS

 

From the North or South on interstate 65: Get on I-85 toward Atlanta, GA. Go to exit #6. Follow the signs that lead to Wetumpka and Gunter Air Force Base (231 North). After going up and over the interstate, follow Hwy 231 North (also called the Eastern Blvd) approximately one mile to the Atlanta Highway exit on your right (there is a small Faulkner University sign). After exiting 231 north, stay in the center lane of the service road and follow the signs on your right, then go past the Hardee’s and PNC Bank and Faulkner will be on your right.

 

From the East on I-85: Get off at exit 6 for Highway 231 (East Blvd) also known as the Bypass heading towards Atlanta Highway. There will be an exit off East Blvd. for Atlanta Hwy. You will also notice a small sign for Faulkner University at the exit onto a service road. Stay in the center lane of the service road and follow the signs toward downtown. Turn left at the traffic light, pass under the Bypass (Hwy 231) and the school is about ¼ mile on the right, past the Hardee’s and PNC Bank and Faulkner will be on your right.

 

From Atlanta, GA on I-85: Take the Mitylene exit 11 then turn right and follow Hwy 80 all the way to Faulkner. You will pass Eastdale Mall, go under the bypass and look for the campus on the right beside PNC Bank.

From North: South on I-65 to Moffett Rd. exit (Hwy. 98).  Turn left on service road to Moffett Rd.  Turn right on Moffett Rd.  Moffett Rd to University Blvd.   Turn left on University Blvd.  University Blvd. to Old Shell Rd.  Turn Right on Old Shell Rd.  Old Shell Rd. to the Mitchell Center.  Turn right into the Mitchell Center.

 

From East: West on I-10 to I-65 North. I-65 North to Airport Blvd. exit (exit 3). Turn left on Airport Blvd. Airport Blvd. to University Blvd. Turn right on University Blvd. University Blvd. to Old Shell Rd. Turn Left on Old Shell Rd. The gravel parking lot is located at the south entrance of the Mitchell Center.  Additional parking is located on Jaguar Drive at Old Shell Rd.
