Travel Directions:

 

From Nashville (and points north): Take I- 65 S, to Huntsville via I-565 exit East to the Research Park Blvd (AL 255 N), take Oakwood Rd exit, take right at light. Oakwood Rd becomes Adventist Blvd. Oakwood University is on the Left. Once you cross the gate, stay straight, road will dead end, make a left, continue straight and the Millet Activity Center is on your right.

Parking: Recruiters can park in the adjacent to the Millet Activity Center building, or the parking lot across from the center.

Travel Directions:

 

From West: We are approximately 30 minutes from Meridian, MS.  Take Interstate 59 North/20 East to Exit 17 (Livingston).  Turn right and travel to the traffic light (Intersection of Hwy 28 and Hwy 11).  Turn right on Hwy. 11.  Travel to the first traffic light and turn right (into campus). 

 

From East: We are approximately 1 hour from Tuscaloosa.  Take Interstate 59 South/20 West to Exit 17 (Livingston).  Turn left and travel (over the interstate) to the traffic light (Intersection of Hwy 28 and Hwy 11).  Turn right on Hwy. 11.  Travel to the first traffic light and turn right (into campus). 

 

From North: Take Hwy. 17 South to Hwy 28 to Livingston, cross the interstate and travel to the traffic light (Intersection of Hwy 28 and Hwy 11).  Turn right on Hwy. 11.  Travel to the first traffic light and turn right (into campus). 

 

From South: Take Hwy. 80 to Hwy. 28 to Livingston (approximately 13 miles on Hwy 28). At 2nd traffic light (Hwy. 28/11 intersection) turn right on Hwy. 11 and travel to the 2nd traffic light. Turn left (into campus).

 

Parking:

 

Turn at the first right, Student Union Drive, and park in the Conference Center parking lot immediately to your left. There will be a couple of golf carts to help with transportation to the conference center; however, you can walk across the main street through campus (Stadium Drive) at the cross walk and the Bell Conference Center will be on your left (the back side). Entrance will be through the front doors.  The building is a light colored building with French doors. Limited/short term parking in front of the Conference Center is available for unloading if needed.

Please ensure that your organization’s name is listed on the outside of the package.  Storage space is limited.  We prefer packages to be received within one week prior to the event but no later than Friday, October 4th. Also, be sure to bring tracking number(s) of your package to enable us to locate your item if not on your table when you arrive.

 

Utilities:

 

Limited access to electrical outlets will be available and will be on a first-come basis. Recruiters should bring your own extension cords and power strips. Wi-Fi is available and passwords will be given. One table and two chairs will be provided for each organization.  Your display should fit a standard event table area.

From South:  Take Interstate 65 North to Interstate 20 East/ Interstate 59 North Towards Tuscaloosa. Immediately merge to far right lane.  Take first exit, Arkadelphia Road Exit (Exit 123). Turn left and drive over the Interstate overpass. Birmingham-Southern College will be on the right as you top the hill.

 

Parking:  Please stop at the front gate to let the police officer know you are a guest of the Career Center.  A parking space will be available in the lot on the left as you drive into the campus. Proceed to the stop sign and turn left into the parking lot (Lot G).  Your parking space is located in front of the Bill Battle Coliseum and behind the Library.  

Campus Location: Once you have parked your car, proceed to the right side of the Library building and use the walkway across the Quad and pass the fountain.  The Norton Campus Center is straight ahead.

Event Venue: Bruno Great Hall is on the third floor of the Norton Campus Center

Utilities: Electrical outlets are available.  Indicate electrical need when registering. We have a limited number of power cords available so you may want to bring your own.

From US Highway 280:

 

Traveling from Birmingham: travel east on US Highway 280. Turn right on Alabama Highway 147* South. This road will take you into Auburn and becomes US Highway 29* South.

  

From Interstate 65 or Interstate 85:

 

Traveling from Atlanta: travel south toward Montgomery on I-85 to exit # 51. Turn right on to US Highway 29* North.

 

Traveling from Birmingham: travel south on I-65 to Montgomery. Take I-85 North toward Atlanta to exit #51. Turn left on to US Highway 29* North;

 

Traveling from Columbus: travel north on I-185. Take US Highway 80/Phenix City exit to US Highway 280. Turn right (west) on Highway 280 and proceed to I-85, at Opelika. Travel south on I-85, 10 miles to exit #51. Turn right on to US Highway 29* North.

 

Traveling from Mobile: travel north on I-65 to Montgomery. Take the I-85 North/Atlanta exit. Travel north on I-85 to exit # 51. Turn left on to US Highway 29* North.

 

Traveling from Montgomery: take the I-85 North/ Atlanta exit. Travel north on I-85 to exit # 51. Turn left on to US Highway 29* North.

  

Auburn University Campus:

 

* US Highway 29 from I-85 becomes South College Street as well as Alabama 147 from US Highway 280 becomes North College Street.

 

NOTE: When making travel arrangements through Atlanta or Columbus, GA, please remember that Auburn University is on Central Time and Georgia is on Eastern Time.

 

Parking:

 

GPS Address to Parking Lot:  100 Woodfield Drive, Auburn, AL 36830

 

This address will put you at the intersection of South College and Woodfield Drive. Do not park at The Julie Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, but park at the Jay and Susie Gouge Performing Arts Center.

 

If traveling North on South College, the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center is on the left, you would turn left at the traffic light onto Woodfield Drive and the parking lot will be up on the right.

 

If traveling South on South College, the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center is on the right, you would turn right at the traffic light onto Woodfield Drive and the parking lot will be up on the right.

 

Shuttle:

 

Arrive EARLY and definitely consider carpooling. A Tiger Transit bus will transport you and your supplies to the Auburn University Student Center. The bus will run back and forth from (8:00 AM – 10:30 AM) then will return at 12:30 PM to do the same, (12:30 PM – 2:30 PM). You will be dropped off and picked up in the same locations at the Performing Arts Center and Student Center.

 

Attached is a temporary parking permit to be printed and displayed visibly on the dashboard of your car on the driver’s side for the day of the event only.  After you have parked, you might have to wait for the Tiger Transit bus to show up. It will be marked so you can see it is associated with a career event. We do apologize for any inconvenience, but this is our best option for parking.

You must follow all parking rules and regulations set forth by the AU Parking Services. The University Career Center cannot be responsible for tickets that are received while parked on campus, nor wheel-locks and towing fees as a result of parking in a private lot.

 

Space and Equipment:

 

One (1) 6x3 foot table and two (2) chairs provided. Your display needs to fit within the space provided. Electricity is not available. Please bring your own table cloth.

 

Shipping:

 

Shipping prior to the Career Fair: Shipments of exhibit displays, materials or anything pertaining to the exhibit must be received no sooner than Friday, October 4. Accommodations for packages needing to arrive earlier must contact Melvin K. Smith, Special Events Coordinator, (334) 844-4744 or mks@auburn.edu for approval!  Storage space is very limited.  We will do our very best to work with you!

 

Please use our Preferred Carriers (Fedex and UPS) to ship materials!  See the example of how each box or display should be addressed for shipping to The Auburn University Student Center (AUSC). Your organization’s name is required on the outside of all materials. Print off multiple pre-made labels for your convenience (1 per box or container to be shipped).

Prior to the start of the event, shipped material will be delivered to your organization’s table which was assigned by the University Career Center (UCC) for this event. If you are expecting to receive some materials and they are not waiting at your able, go by the Representative Check-In for assistance. Make sure you have checked with your organization to confirm items were shipped and you have the tracking numbers and who signed for them.

Make sure the representatives attending the event have ALL tracking numbers of packages that have been shipped to UCC prior to arriving at the event. 

 

Shipping after the Career Fair: It is the responsibility of the representative(s) of an organization to make their own shipping and billing arrangements with the Preferred Carriers (FedEx and UPS). Each item to be shipped must be appropriately labeled and taped with a Pre-Printed PAID Return shipping label provided by your organization. We do not have any forms available to assist you.  There is no capability to print any labels. Items not properly labeled, cannot be accepted. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Please take all items to be shipped to the Representative Check-In Table after the career fair where a member of the University Career Center will be available to check in your materials for shipping out. One call will be made to each preferred carrier for pick-up!

After going up and over the interstate, follow Hwy 231 North (also called the Eastern Blvd) approximately one mile to the Atlanta Highway exit on your right (there is a small Faulkner University sign). After exiting 231 north, stay in the center lane of the service road and follow the signs on your right, then go past the Hardee’s and PNC Bank and Faulkner will be on your right.
